Your Situation
When Persistent
Means Systemic
Something isn't resolving.
And you still need to perform at home, at work, in life.
And it would be great if there was a quality of life around that performance, too.
You’ve tried a lot. Ways to dampen it, fix it, change it, anything that will lessen this current drag you pull through your day.
Trying takes effort.
Trying that doesn’t work, is disappointing and frustrating. It is also expensive.
When trying produces diminishing returns enough times over, we can be forgiven for simply resigning ourselves to managing it.
Managing erodes your quality of life.
For anyone that is a problem. At your level, that’s a big problem.
It doesn’t stay in one place
Unresolved situations, create adjacent situations.
Adjacent situations that go unsolved, create systemic situations.
Systemic situations produce patterns that persist.
Now you can better see why Persistent Patterns are more challenging to solve.
Systemic situations that produce persistent patterns is my focus.
When situations persist for months, the cause is almost always found within, and across, the system itself.
Think of this system as the whole human system, within its environment.
Systemic situations continue to sprawl without intervention. You may have already noticed the cause and effect of this particular situation now showing up in other areas of life.
The Trial & Error Loop
How do you know what will resolve this if you can't say for sure what is causing it? Understanding the symptoms is quite different to understanding the cause.
Whether this is personal (anxiety, conflict) or professional (you are still the industry's best kept secret) we will often find ourselves trying to solve the symptoms we can see, unaware that this symptom is the expression of our invisible Whole Human system operating under a series of constraints. When this happens, the system compensates in ways that produce the very symptoms you are staring down today.
So it can be quite overwhelming to figure out which tool, which modality, which therapist, coach or resource will fix this.
Do you need nervous system regulation, therapy, or a coach?
What about energy work? Is this mindset? Could you fix this if you re-wired something?
Does this situation have roots in C-PTSD, a toxic spouse or boss?
Now, you’re not sleeping well, so do you need to go to bed earlier?
If you’re not able to show up in your business and be seen, do you outsource your marketing? or just rely on word of mouth referrals, hoping it continues?
Apps didn’t work. Mindfulness feels tedious. You’re tried a few practitioners and while the session was great, you woke up the next Monday with no change.
So you took yourself away for a holiday only to discover that wherever you go, there you are.
Then one day, you’re in the same hair salon, for the 1000th time only this time you are having an allergic reaction to the products that triggers a different and sudden allergic reaction to fruits and vegetables that used to be staple parts of your diet.
What is going on? Where does one even start to look?
